Been a crazy busy week. Started out assisting in Fort McMurray. What a cool place that is. Awesome people and great food. Beautiful Landscape, and of course, the oil sands. I thought it was such a cool experience getting to see all the commotion up there, and can’t wait till my next opportunity to go back.

From FMM to Fashion, I was then on set with a creative fashion shoot. Again, so cool to see how this is all done. Met some really cool people and I hope to be able to work with them again. We even went and broke all the rules and lit from underneath. what?!

Then on to teaching. I have been very honoured to be able to teach with a company here in town called Learn Photography Alberta. Essentially we go on a walk about and talk photography. Had a great class on thursday and was really impressed by everyone. Now to get ready for my course that I have designed that goes up on the 9th! Very excited. You can check it out here : Learn Photography Alberta

After teaching I rushed off to do some head shots for a local actress. Very cool person and I wish her luck in pursuing her acting dreams.

Then off to rural southern alberta to work on a cool assignment with my father. Had a blast and got sufficiently dusty (Thank god for weather/dust sealed pro gear)

And if industrial assistant teacher portrait photographer wasn’t enough, went out and shot a wedding yesterday for a friend of a friend. Great couple and a great story they share together. Thanks again to my assistant Marc for putting up with my nonsense all evening.

Now for my day off, or should I say my one day to edit all this. Oh dear.

Looking forward to the adventure that this week brings,

Cheers,

Mack

13000 Camera Activations Since October. Considering for one of those months it was away for repair, thats 3250 photos a month. Thats roughly equivalent to 136 rolls of film a month. At 12 dollars for the film + developing, thats $1632 a month. $6528 for that many film shots. Guess digital can stick around.

Edited more then usual.
